About the Flashpoint Assistant List
The Flashpoint Assistant List has been recognized as a reliable resource to help both local and out of town photographers hire assistants since we created it ten years ago. However, to have your name on this list we need to know that you have a sufficient knowledge base, which includes the safe operation of our equipment and a good understanding of what is expected from a photo assistant before, during, and after a shoot. It’s for this reason that we developed our Assistant Workshop, and why we require you to take the workshop before being added to the list.
We run two Assistant Workshops per year. The next workshop will be held in Fall 2013. To get more details closer to the date, e-mail us at email@example.com and we’ll add you to our Assistant Workshop mailing list.
About the Assistant Workshop
The workshop will take place at the Flashpoint shop (please see the address below). The cost is $75.00 plus tax.
We supply refreshments and an Assistant Workbook to take with you once you’re done.
Here’s a brief run-down of what to expect from the day: the workshop lasts 4 hours, during which three industry experienced speakers will cover everything from safe handling of equipment to grip equipment and Profoto packs and how they work. A working assistant and professional photographer cover everything from starting out as an assistant, to what they look for in an assistant and the transition from assistant to photographer.
To secure your place in the workshop we need you to please print, fill out, and fax back the credit card authorization form at the link below. We’ll charge the cost of the workshop to the card, and your place is guaranteed. If you don’t have a card you can stop by the Flashpoint shop to pay before the workshop takes place.
Any questions don’t hesitate to call or email us!
Hope to see you at the workshop.
